Accomodation & Meals

The Course will be held at St Blanes House, in Kilchattan Bay, which is a small village on the south end of beautiful Bute. Kilchattan has a glorious sweeping sandy beach and a small stone pier near the house.
St Blane's is a grand house which was previously a hotel and occupies a prime position on the water’s edge, with spectacular views of the sea and the surrounding islands, showing the west of Scotland at its very best.
Residential Participants
For residential participants there are single and double rooms (suitable for painters and partners}. Each of the rooms is “themed” which will add to the interest and fun of your stay!
Participants who are residential on the course will have a tasty breakfast and delicious dinner. As a “pick up” after a hard day painting a ”wee” prosecco will be served pre dinner, and wine/refreshments will be served during the meal.
All Participants
Morning coffee and lunch are served for all participants in St Blane's. Everything needed for a tasty packed lunch is provided for participants to make their own. This will give us the flexibility that artists sometimes need, particularly if we are outside painting. Tea and cake can be enjoyed later in the afternoon.
We are keen to support the local Island economy, and delicious dinners will be seasonal and sourced locally wherever possible by our passionate catering team.
Catering is a key part of any successful course and we are delighted that we will have our fantastic local Caterers, Joan and Kate of Smith and Gray back again on our team.
