Booking and payment
Your deposit is non-refundable and must be included with the completed booking form. Payment of the full balance is due 1 month before the course commences, when you will receive an email with further details of the course and a request for the final balance.
Late Bookings
Applications to attend a course within 1 month of the start date must be accompanied by the fee in full.
Disclaimer
Art Holidays with Michael Gahagan takes no responsibility for personal injury or the loss or damage of personal property or vehicles. Therefore it is strongly recommended that all participants take out travel insurance to cover the above.
COVID 19
Using the guidance from the Government and HSE we have put measures in place to ensure your safety whilst studying and staying with us at St Blane’s House.
Communal Facilities
The providers of the house are already committed to providing the house initially cleaned to a high standard. Throughout the course, regular cleaning and sanitizing will be carried out. To this end, we will require all participants to ensure that their work area is cleared on a daily basis, with all materials being removed from tables and easels and taken to the participant’s room (or offsite for non-resident students). This will allow us to clean art rooms ready for the next day. We would also ask participants to select their work position at the beginning of the course and keep to that as much as is reasonable for the course duration.
Hand sanitizer will be available in the toilets as well as additional sanitizing stations, which we encourage you to use throughout your stay with us, including, for residential students, in your own room.
Ventilation
Good ventilation can help reduce the risk of spreading coronavirus, so we will be increasing ventilation throughout the building by opening doors and windows at regular intervals.
When conditions and timing are appropriate, we will conduct relevant parts of the course plein-air. We would encourage participants to take account of this when dressing on the course.
Masks and Testing
As per the latest government guidance, masks are optional. We want you to feel comfortable so please wear whatever facial covering makes you feel secure. All course tutors and support staff will be asked to take a lateral flow test before arriving onsite, and we would encourage course participants to do the same.
Cancellation Policy
If a participant has to cancel, we regret that deposits cannot be returned. Once the balance payment has been made and there is less than 1 month to the course start date, a refund is not possible. Every effort will be made to find a replacement booking, in which case a refund, less deposit, will be made.
In the unfortunate event of a cancellation of a course by Art Holidays with Michael Gahagan, course fees already paid will be fully refunded.
If cancellations are made for COVID 19 reasons, a credit note/slip can be issued for a future course within 2 years. We are not liable for additional costs incurred e.g. travel and accommodation.
If you experience symptoms or test positive during a course unfortunately you will need to leave the course immediately in order to follow Government Guidance.
This statement will be updated as dictated by any change in circumstances.
