Painting Tuition
The art tuition on the course will be provided by myself and my brother John. Our contrasting styles and personalities will without doubt enhance the artistic experience for participants!..

Michael Gahagan
As an artist and tutor I paint with various media, including watercolour, pastels, acrylics and oils. The subject matter for my paintings is wide and varied including landscapes, seascapes and wildlife. My animal illustrations have appeared in numerous books and magazines and my paintings are exhibited in a number of Galleries including the Castle Gallery Bute ,Arran Art Gallery and the Melrose Gallery.Much of my artistic inspiration comes from my overseas tutoring sessions in Greece, Spain, Italy and Morocco however it is the Islands of Scotland that are my key inspirational source!
I am also a professionally qualified business/life coach.My teaching style is to combine my artistic and coaching skills to enable participants enjoy and develop their art at a pace which suits their own level of skills and experience.

John Gahagan
John has been a professional artist for over 30 years. A graduate of Glasgow School of Art, his paintings capture his love for urban architecture at home and abroad and he finds inspiration in the coastal villages and rural communities of Scotland, especially around Argyll and the West Coast.
He has exhibited successfully in the UK, Ireland, Germany and Russia and his works in pen, watercolour, oils and acrylic can be found in public and private collections in many parts of the world
